Eco-Intel Editorial Opportunities

Eco-Intel seeks editorial from industry experts who are willing to share their knowledge about designing, building and operating high-performance buildings. The site is comprised of four editorial sections.

Design

Showcasing highlights in green architecture, this section includes case studies about well-designed high-performance buildings, how to use software to get the performance and/or design results the owner wants, and how to design properly functioning systems within buildings. Complementary photos are embedded within articles, and articles can be linked to the media gallery for accompanying slideshows and video.

Building Science and Performance

An often-neglected part of the design and construction process, the building science and performance section covers construction techniques and strategies that will achieve a high-performance building. It also will showcase achievements in building performance by highlighting buildings with impressive energy-consumption data. Photos, videos and slideshows can accompany articles to assist with understanding.

Materials

In addition to an in-depth look at innovative green products hitting the marketplace, the Materials section includes articles featuring everything today’s building professionals need to know about how materials affect buildings. Articles may be about third-party, national-lab and other product testing, as well as how to use and reuse materials wisely within a project.

Business

Unless a good business case for sustainability is made, it will not achieve broad market acceptance. This section will make the case for an improved bottom line through high-performance buildings. Its articles may discuss insurance, legal issues, total building commissioning, performance metrics, cap and trade, etc.
